Wayne Harold Erickson, 86 of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. He was born June 16, 1937 in Greenbush, Minnesota to the late Harold and Kathleen Erickson.
Wayne accepted Jesus Christ as his savior; he loved the lord, and his wife Shirley that he often referred to as his beautiful wife. He loved his family, church family, and friends. Wayne proudly served in the United States Army, was a successful entrepreneur, obtained his real estate license, and was a man with a very strong work ethic. He enjoyed antiquing, acquiring collectables, attending car shows, and was a mechanic. In 1972, he achieved his black belt in karate.
Wayne made conversations fun and witty he was. You have heard there are three types of people in this world: those who make things happen, those who watch things happen, and those who wonder what happened. Wayne made things happen, but the most important thing to remember in Wayne’s life is he called upon the lord Jesus Christ to save him. Over the years, he loved to listen to preaching, gospel music, and attend church with Shirley. As his faith grew, he became bold for Christ and even witnessed for him!
Cherishing his memory are his wife Shirley Erickson; children- Debbie Erickson of Fort Meyers, Florida, Wade Erickson and wife Lauren of Houston Texas, Lisa Baggett and husband Danny of Wichita Kansas, Michael Perrin and wife Bridgett of Delight, Arkansas, Craig Erickson of Hot Springs, Greg Erickson of Maumelle Arkansas, and Vince Perrin of Nashville Arkansas; grandchildren-Sara Stults, Ashley Erickson, Austin Erickson, Taylor Erickson, Brittney Madison, Jarah Jacks, Jayci Liggin, Abby Corson, Noah Erickson, Joel Erickson, Sloan Perrin, Natalie Perrin, and Bryce Perrin; brother Byron Erickson and wife Gail of Hot Springs Arkansas, and a host of great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, family, church family, and friends.
Funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Thursday, May 23, 2024 at CenterFork Baptist Church, with Bro. Scott Bates officiating with interment to follow at Delight Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00 until service time.
