1954, in Mena, the son of John Loy and Mary Lockett.
Tommie attended Lakeside and then served in the U.S. Army until 1977. He returned home to Hot Springs and worked at Hot Springs Excavating then retired from McHenry Excavating. Tommie enjoyed riding his Harley, loved fast cars, fishing, writing, planting, and building things around the house. Much to everyone’s surprise he became a great cook. He was a country boy who lived his best life.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 28 years, Betty Cox.
Tommy is survived by his spouse Charlene and their furbaby, Jackson Lee Cox, sisters, Stephanie Lancaster and Jeannie “John” Lancaster, his brother, David Loy, daughters, MaryAnne and Christina Cox,
stepdaughter, Danielle Dwyer “Dennis Moore” granddaughter Alexis “Matt” Grisham, grandson, Dylan Payte, and great-grandchildren, Hudson and Haisley. Honorary pallbearers, Jeff Jordan, Matt Grisham, Michael McHenry, Dylan Payte, Gary Clark, and Scott Otwell.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday March 23, 2023 at 3:00pm at Gross Funeral Home.
