December 17, 1948 – September 12, 2024
Sue Ann Sheridan, beloved mother and cherished member of the Hot Springs, Arkansas, community, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024, at the age of 75.
Born on December 17, 1948, to Harold Houston and Edna Lorene Sheridan, Sue Ann's faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ, was the cornerstone of her life. She was a longtime member of Central Assembly of God, where her devotion to the Lord was evident to all who knew her. Raised in Hot Springs, she graduated from Cutter Morning Star School, where she enjoyed playing basketball, a sport she fondly recalled throughout her life. Her love for Arkansas Razorback basketball was well known, and she enthusiastically cheered for her team, always proud to “call the hogs.”
Sue Ann was the proud mother of two biological children and three adopted children. She is preceded in death by her parents, her oldest son, John Paul Wright; her first husband, James Author Wright; and her second husband, Larry David Thompson.
She is survived by her children: George Dean Wright (Jillian), James David Wright (Tammy), Ashley Mariah Quick (Kyle), and grandson Dierk Andrew Wright. She also leaves behind her brothers, Lon Sheridan (Sharon) and John Sheridan (Carol), as well as her beloved grandchildren: Brenden, Tyler, Bryce, Tristan, Landen, Sera, Brandon, Brooklynn, Tori, and Asher, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
There will be a Celebration of Life service held at Gross Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, October 4, 2024 starting at 11:00am.
The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated staff at Gentiva Hospice, National Park Medical Center, and The Springs at Red Oak, with special thanks to Sue Ann’s devoted caregiver, Sharon “Linda” Dyer, who became her honorary daughter in the process.
