Roy Broner Cox, 94, of Hot Springs passed away on June 24, 2018. He was born April 5, 1924 in Shawmut, Arkansas to the late Otis and Cora (Wright) Cox. Roy was a retired electrical repairman and a World War II veteran. He was also a member and a Deacon of Southwest Missionary Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Kenneth Cox; grandson, Derek Jester; brother, Bernis Cox; sisters, Imogene Mardis, Joy Cox and Helen Cox.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Charlene Cox; daughters, Linda Jester (Jim) of North Little Rock, Jeannie Goforth of Sherwood; grandsons, Jonathan Brizendine of Mayflower, Jason Cox of Hot Springs; granddaughters, Cynthia Jester and Suzanne Brizendine of Sherwood; four great grandsons; one great-great grandson; two great-great granddaughters; sisters, Jessie Bransum of Poteau, Oklahoma, Virginia Pike (John) of Tyler, Texas; brother, Basel Cox (Helen) of Murfreesboro and sister-in-law, Patsy Bennett of Nashville, Arkansas.
