For 69 blessed years, Ray was married to the love of his life, Ernesteen (Phillips) Smith. He is also survived by his children: Phil (Sandy) Smith, Loretta Wilson, and Pam (Bobby) Hanna all from Hot Springs, and Sandy (Michael) Pendleton from Norman, Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren: Stacy and Ricky (Ellen) Hobgood, Elaine (Robbie) Musil, Kristy (Kevin) Wright, Jason (Savannah) Wilkie, William Wilkie, Brent Wilkie, Daniel Pendleton, Brian Pendleton, Amber Ashley, Kimberley Hulbert, Eric Hanna, Andrew Hanna, Nick Hanna; 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Gerry (Bill) Moss, Eva (Joe) Bailey; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ray was part of an elite military unit known as The Trailblazers. He served in the 276th U.S. Army, E Company, 70th Infantry Division alongside General George Patton in France and Germany during WWII.
Ray was best known for his love and devotion for his family and faith.
Pallbearers will be James Hemund, Kevin Wright, Brandon Neff, Robbie Musil, William Wilkie, and Jason Wilkie.
Honorary Pallbearers include Daniel Pendleton, Brian Pendleton and Brent Wilkie.
