Peggy Lou Crumb Goslee of Hot Springs passed away on February 10, 2020. She was born on March 19, 1926 in Alexander, Ark. to the late Arthur M. and Loula W. Crumb.
Known to her family as Gundy, Peggy was a lifelong artisan, admired for her exquisite pine needle baskets, quilts, and other handcrafts. She traveled extensively, and with her husband, Charlie Bob, visited six of the seven continents. They kept a condo on Sanibel Island, Fla., her favorite destination, where she spent many hours combing the sands for shells to add to her prized collection.
She was a caring and dedicated homemaker who provided a loving home and was proud of the family she raised. She was active in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a woman of faith who served in many different church volunteer and leadership positions. She will be remembered for her operatic soprano voice that delighted her church and community. Her children have fond memories of her and their dad singing together at home, mostly standards from their courtship in the 1940s.
She will be missed by her children, Robert Thomas “Bobby” Goslee and wife Kim, Marsha Lou Burford and husband Dean, Robin Gayle Bodishbaugh and husband Pat; grandchildren, Jason Goslee and wife Kim, Vanessa Goslee Rodgers and husband Blake, Kristin Goslee Akins, Matt Wright and wife Jenna, Mike Burford and wife Marilyn, Brian Bearden and wife Genie, Erin Bodishbaugh; numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren; and her church family at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Hot Springs.
She joins in Heaven her husband of 72 years, her One and Only, Charles Robert Goslee; her parents; and her sister, Julia Lee Crumb Waggoner.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff at Quapaw Health & Rehab and and Kindred Hospice, who treated Gundy with dignity and love.
