Paul Wayne Sanders, 75, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at his home. He spent his career in business in Magnolia, Arkansas. He will be remembered by many as a College Algebra tutor, a Sunday School teacher, and The Crappie Guru around the waters of Lake Ouachita near Highway 27 Fishing Village.
Paul was born in Magnolia, Arkansas on December 11, 1946. He was a graduate of Magnolia High School and received his B.S. from Southern State College. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. On August 15, 1971, he married Linda Barnhart Sanders. After Linda’s death in 1999, he continually celebrated her. He devoted much enthusiasm to their 50th wedding anniversary in 2021.
Along with Linda, Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Eunice and Paul Sanders, and his sister, Cathy Sanders McAteer.
Paul is survived by his sister, Angela (Robert) Reaves of Joplin Missouri; son Greg (Megan) Sanders of Cabot Arkansas; daughter Sally (Jimmy) Crain of Hot Springs, Arkansas; three beloved granddaughters, Hampton Crain, Stella Sanders, and Norah Sanders; and many nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to honor his memory by teaching a child to fish.
We will celebrate his life 2:00 PM, Saturday March 12, 2022 at Memorial Park - Camden, Arkansas.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are: Gavin Morgan, Buddy Barnhart, Bev Jordan, Gary Stone, Robert Reaves, Todd McAteer, and Tom White.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 -1:45 in the fellowship hall of the First Assembly of God Church.
