He was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters , Helen, Bob, Billy, Jack, Dick, and Gladys, their spouses, and his first wife, Dolores. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Marcella (Bergup) Geiss; sisters in law and their spouses, Dodie and Lewis Mahoney, Bernice Bergup, Carm and T.K. Karacic, Gilda and David Macksam, and was a very special uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a WWII veteran, serving from June 19, 1944 to June 19, 1946, seeing action at the Okinawa Invasion. He retired from Leeway Motor Freight as a Supervisor moving to Hot Springs.
Paul was an excellent golfer. He and his brother Jack played many Missouri amateur tournaments, saying he won a few and Jack won many. He was a Garland County Super Senior and scored 77 when he was 87. He was an avid reader and always had 3 or 4 books checked out at the library.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 3:00pm Friday, November 3, 2023, preceded by the Rosary at 2:30pm. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
