Michael J. Hines, 43, of Hot Springs passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, after a brief, unexpected illness. He was born in Little Rock on December 28th, 1972; a very special birthday that he shared with his daughter Paige. Mike was known for his sense of humor, wittiness, and his love. After graduating from Hot Springs High School, he received an Art degree from UALR. He was an employee of Evraz Stratcor since 1997. Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Ed and Opal Hines, Aubrey and Ruby Small; and his Uncle David Hines. Cherishing his memory are his wife of 13 years, Kelly Mickens Hines; daughters, Paige and Preslie Hines; parents, James “Sonny” and Ann Hines; his sister, Lynn Shaffer (Mickey); niece and nephew, Gunnar and Alex Shaffer; Aunts, Erma Steelsmith (Ray), Bonnie Hardin, and Karyn Hines; his mother and father in-law, Richard and Pam Mickens; brother-in-law, Brodie Mickens; special cousins and countless friends.
