Mary Ruth Lewis Smith, 85, of Hot Springs went to be with her Lord and Savior December 25. Mary was born in Waldo to the late Charlie and Girlie Lewis. She was preceded in death by husband R.C. Smith and a son Robert Charles Smith.
Mary was a devoted advocate for senior citizens and a longtime volunteer at the McAuley Senior Center.
Cherishing her memory are Genevlyn Wesley, Sue Loudermill, a host of friends, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and her loving church family at Woodridge Street Church of Christ.
A celebration of her life will be held at Gross Funeral Home on Thursday at 11 a.m. officiated by Brother Rickey Smith.
