Mary Hudspeth Griffin, 88, of Hot Springs, Arkansas was born January 1, 1930 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Frank and Sophie Arnold. She was a member of Diamondhead Community Church of Hot Springs, where she sat on the second pew every Sunday until she became ill. Mary’s favorite hobby was painting. She enjoyed hand painting cards for her church, family and friends. Mary died peacefully on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, surrounded by family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence L. “Jr” Griffin, brothers Ralph and Donnie Graves, sister Jean Mayer and son-in-law James “Ed” DeMoss.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Mike and Susan Hudspeth of Richardson, Texas; Wayne and Elvira Hudspeth of Conroe, Texas; Daughters Sherri Hudspeth of Washington, DC and Marilyn DeMoss of Sheridan, Arkansas; brother Joe Graves of Dayton, Texas; 9 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great-Great Grandchildren.
“Celebration of Life” Memorial Service will be 5:00 pm Saturday at Diamondhead Community Church, Hot Springs, Arkansas.
