Kenneth Buster Tyler, age 94, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, formerly of Zephyrhills, Florida and Stuttgart, Arkansas, passed away May 21, 2021 in Hot Springs. Born February 5, 1927 in Bruce, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Gene and Edna Gillen Tyler.
Kenneth was also preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Johnnie Mae Berry Tyler; son, Kenneth Edwin Tyler; grandson, Nicholas Grant Hatfield; five sisters Helen Josephine Tyler, Edith Myrl Barger, Clara Uvee Sollars, Maddie Jean MacBride, Opal Sue Sommers; and brother William Brooks Tyler.
Kenneth is survived by daughters Deborah (Larry) Hatfield of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Cherilyn Tyler Stewart of Little Rock, Arkansas; three grandchildren Jeremy Hatfield, Carley Cole and Jolie Stewart; and sister, Martha Lucille Vescova.
Kenneth attended secondary school in Burdette, Arkansas and continuing education classes at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, Tennessee. He served his country during World War II as a member of the United States Navy. Kenneth was the co-owner and President of the Board of RW Manufacturing and RW Farms. After retiring in 1983, he opened Ken’s Camper Center. Throughout his life, he was active in Southern Baptist Churches wherever he lived. He was an avid gardener and woodworker until recent years.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on June 4, 2021 at the Arkansas Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock, Arkansas.
