Howard David Gibbs, a beloved member of the community, passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on September 10th, 2024, due to natural causes following a fall.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and warmth that will be cherished by all who knew him. David is survived by his loving wife Rita, two sisters, one daughter, 3 step children and seven grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a brother and two daughters.
David was a dedicated farmer and a proud Navy veteran who served his country by landing planes on ships at sea. His gentle nature and passion for gardening, welding, and reading brought joy to those around him. His presence will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in his honor on Saturday, October 5th at 1 pm at Huntington Church, located at 901 West Huntington Avenue in Jonesboro, AR. Family and friends are invited to gather and remember him.
