He was born on March 29, 1954 in Hot Springs, the son of Beatrice and Raymond DeLee, Sr. On August 21, 1975, he married the love of his life, Karen DeLee. He was preceded in death by his parents.
At the age of 22, Howard began his life-long career in construction, playing an intricate role in subdivision development throughout Hot Springs. He didn’t know a day without work. Howard was a man of many talents and could fix anything. He was an accomplished gardener, hunter, and fisherman. He lived his life to the fullest and had many adventures. He never met a stranger. Although he was very passionate and successful in his career, his family is what brought him true joy.
Survivors include his wife, Karen DeLee of Hot Springs; two daughters, Ashlee (Kody) Fason, Andrea (Chris) Stark; five grandchildren, Koen, Caden, Cali, Kynlee, and Asher; three brothers, Max (Mary) DeLee, Raymond (Debbie) DeLee, Jr., Steve DeLee; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held at Gross Funeral Home on Thursday, September 7th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Services will be held at Gross Funeral Home on Friday September 8th at 1:00 pm. Howard was a member of Social Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Tyler Bray will be officiating the service followed by Interment at Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Chris Stark, Koen Stark, Caden DeLee, Kristoffer DeLee, Adam DeLee and Kody Sigman. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Greg Whorton, Nurse Linda Chadick, Dr. Arnaoutakis, Dr. Veeraputhiran, Dr. Rodriguez, Nurse Donna, and the entire team at UAMS.
