Helen Schultz, 87, of Hot Springs passed peacefully at her home on October 21, 2017. She was born on August 03, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Joseph and Mary Szczesny. Whether one saw her as stubborn and argumentative or caring and giving (maybe a little of both), everyone knew how much Helen loved them. Helen was happiest during big gatherings of her family and friends. Helen will be meeting in Heaven, Walter, her husband of 67 years who passed away just weeks ago; her parents; her sister, Anne Marie Freres; and her grandson whom she treasured, Andrew Mayes. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jack Schultz (Candice), Andrew Schultz (Sandra), Mary Ellen Mayes (Harold), Lisa Hammons (Chad); sisters, Rose Podlesny, and Betty Wolfe;four grandchildren, Walter Schultz (Angela), Regina Schultz, Alex Mayes, Stephanie Mayes; two great grandchildren, Abigail Schultz, Joseph Mayes and many other extended family members and friends. The family will hold a private memorial service.
