Eleanor H. Pascual, 88, went home to chat with the Lord on December 28, 2019 about her three children who preceded her, Bill Pascual, Joe Pascual, Jr. and Elizabeth Faye “Beth” Disney. Eleanor also had one sister, Helen Appeslaugh of Annapolis, MD who preceded her in death.
Eleanor was born December 3, 1931 in Gainesville, Texas to the late Raymond Holden & Viola Franks Haseltine. She married Joseph J. Pascual, Sr. on June 27, 1955 and has resided in Hot Springs, Arkansas since 1972. She was very active in the Virginia Clinton Kelly Democratic Women’s Club, a member of the Virginia Clinton Kelly Birthday Club, and attended First Presbyterian Church. She worked for many years as a legal secretary for various attorneys in Hot Springs. She and her son, Joe, Jr. purchased the first Superior Senior Care franchise in Hot Springs, which she worked until her retirement.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Joe Pascual, Sr.; daughter, Mary Jane “MJ” Sherer (Danny); sister-in-law, Evelyn Racaniello of New York; brother-in-law, Jack Pascual (Terri); grandson Daniel Disney (Katie) and their 2 children Madelyn and Miller; other grandchildren are Lacey Snyder (Travis), Jaime Pascual, Michelle Disney, Angelee Pickle and Donald Disney; several great grandchildren (Shelby & Maddox) and a host of friends.
A special thank you to the caregiver’s “girls” referred by Superior Senior Care; Beverley, Diana, Resa, Karen and Reda who have cared for her the past 3 years. Our family has been truly blessed to find such wonderful and caring people. We would also like to thank the caring staff at Dierksen Hospice.
Pallbearers are Cory Clem, Gerald Stewart, Everett Vincent, Sammy Stathakis, Quincy Hurst, Kevin Thompson and Joe Pascual (nephew).
Honorary Pallbearers are Diane Wells, Claire Martin, Barbara Lewis and Patsy Burtness.
Visitation will be Friday 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday at Gross Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lacy Sellers officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.
