Donald was born in Jessieville, Arkansas to the late Paul Sr. and Bessie Ragsdale Rhodes.
Donald was greeted in Heaven by his son, Dusty Rhodes and his grandson, Donald Rhodes III.
In November of 1963, Donald met Marguerite while in a grocery store- instantly smitten, he asked her for a date. Donald took Marguerite for a root beer and for more than 56 years (55 of those married), they shared friendship, family and faith.
Donald is survived by his loving bride, Marguerite; his sister, Janice Davis; six of his children Dodie (Darren) Harris, Donald (Vicki) Rhodes, Dempsy (Stephanie) Rhodes, Darby (Liz) Rhodes, Devry (Devre) Rhodes, and Destry Rhodes; his grandchildren Amanda Rhodes, Dustin Rhodes, Bridgette Blowers, Alexis Harris, Dakota Rhodes, Daeson Rhodes, Trevin Harris, Destin Rhodes, Darrian Rhodes, and Logan Rhodes; and special nieces and nephews Kim, Rusty, Phillip, Steve, Paulette, Zoanna, and Kelly.
On Thursday, April 23, 2020 there will be a drive up Rosary at 3:30pm in the parking lot of Gross Funeral Home. Due to health regulations set forth by the State of Arkansas, attendees will be asked to remain in their vehicles.
Once the Rosary is completed, attendees will be allowed to drive by and offer their condolences until 7pm.

A date for a Mass of Christian Burial will be announced (post-covid).
