David Eliot Ake, 67, of Hot Springs, went to be with the Lord on March 29, 2025. Born on January 17, 1958, to Walter and Joyce Ake, David spent his childhood in Georgia and Florida, creating cherished memories at the beach with his two brothers. He graduated from Boca Ciega High School in St. Petersburg, FL, and went on to earn an accounting degree from the University of Florida.
David enjoyed a successful career as the Director of Finance for Fiber Pro LLC. He had a passion for flying, golf, and crafting things for others. His faith was a guiding force in his life, shaping him into the compassionate, humble, and kind man he was. He cherished his church families at First Nazarene and New Life Church. Most importantly, David adored spending time with his loved ones. He recently embraced the title of "Pops" from his granddaughter, a title he wore with immense pride.
An aviation enthusiast, David built his own plane and loved to fly, feeling most at home in the sky. He enjoyed the outdoors, the sun, and the beach. David was also an avid golfer, tennis player, and enjoyed basketball and shooting. He had a special talent for cooking and was renowned for making the best baklava. Hiking and walking trails brought him joy, and he loved sharing meals with family and friends. Saturdays were reserved for taking the family cars to the car wash, ensuring everything was spotless. A true handyman, David could fix anything old or build something new. He was always there for those in need, regardless of the time of day.
David often expressed his fondness for the word “women”, turns out he would be blessed with five daughters and a granddaughter, all of whom he cherished. His home was always open, welcoming everyone. He had a tradition of walking loved ones to the door during farewells, saying "vaya con Dios," which translates to "go with God."
David is survived by his beloved wife, Ana Silvana; his daughters, Jessica and her husband Landon Willmuth, Ana Belen, Ana Paula and her husband Christian Ramirez, Ana Katrina, and Ana Makayla; his pride and joy, granddaughter Townes Caroline; his mother, Joyce; two brothers, Lee and Alan; and their families. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Ake.
David's legacy of love, kindness, faith and genuinely generous nature will continue to inspire all who knew him.
