Bradley Bluford Stough, born December 3rd, 1987, passed away peacefully on August 20th, 2023. After graduating from Lakeside High School in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Bradley obtained a degree in finance at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He attended one summer of study at the London School of Economics, in England. After graduation, he achieved remarkable success in Houston, Texas as a businessman and diesel oil trader. Bradley's love for mathematics, numbers, economics, and the financial world started in middle school as he would check the newspapers stock section most mornings before heading off for his school day. This interest in the stock market and a curiosity of how the world turns was a passion for Bradley throughout his life.
He was known for his kind soul and adventurous spirit. Whether it was chasing dreams from his own days as a soccer standout to attending the World Cup in Brazil, Bradley loved all sports. He was an avid golfer, recreational tennis player and a newly minted pickleball fanatic. If he was not playing sports, he would watch them with fervor. He even prepared for his beloved Cowboys to break his heart again and again, so he "adopted" the Bills as his consolation team. His love for the outdoors, companionship, and camaraderie was nowhere truer than in the duck blind. Bradley became an exceptional duck hunter; recognized for his marksmanship and superb duck calling skills. His friends always enjoyed his lighthearted sense of humor and infectious optimism. To say "there was never a dull moment" with Bradley is an understatement. His friends extend to many states and countries.
Bradley is preceded in death by his paternal grandfathers: Tom Baker and Blu Stough. He is survived by his parents and their spouses: Dow and Julie Stough, Sara and Bob Barnett, his sister and her spouse: Shannon and Ryan Dare, his brother and his spouse: Burke and Ilse Stough, his maternal grandmother and husband, Mel and her husband Jim Barden and his paternal grandmother, Jerry “Nanny” Stough. He is survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, who cherished his colorful presence at family gatherings and holidays. Bradley had three nephews and two nieces and was a beloved, face-timing, silly and playful uncle. His nephews and nieces will fondly remember finding hundreds of sand dollars with him on their most recent beach trip. Finally, Bradley is survived by the love of his life, Lane Stagg. Bradley had found his future and lifelong love. She was his angel. She was his happiness, and he left this earth peacefully feeling the immense love that they shared.
His life will be celebrated by his family and close friends at a private ceremony.
