Bobby Lee Kellar, 79, of Hot Springs, went to be with the Lord on August 17, 2015 after bravely battling pancreatic cancer. He was born on April 7, 1936 to the late Charlie Westmoreland and Mattie Kellar Harmon.
Bobby was an Air Force veteran serving during the Korean conflict. He was of the Baptist faith and retired from Lakeside School after serving 31 years as the Transportation Supervisor. He and his wife loved riding their Honda Goldwing motorcycle and in later years traveling in his Corvettes. They visited 48 states and Canada on their motorcycle. They were charter members of the Spa City Riders, which did many charity rides for Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
Bobby is preceded in death by two sons, Ricky Joe Kellar and Brett Lee Kellar and one daughter, Belinda Kellar Manning.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Nola Baker Kellar; one son and daughter-in-law Bruce and Karen Kellar of Pearcy; one daughter and her partner, Becky Kellar Hamilton and Ryan Vance; one son-in-law, Robert Manning, all of Hot Springs; six grandchildren, Dustin, Stefan, Brandon, Randi Renee, Shawn Kellar and Tyler Hamilton; three great grandchildren, Tensley Kellar, Brysen Kellar and Hunter Hamilton as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation will be held Thursday, August 20th at Gross Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. A Celebration of Life will be held at Gross Funeral Home on Friday, August 21st at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Mike Smith officiating.
Pallbearers are Willie Hooks, Carl Kellar, Mike Barlow, Jack Culpepper, Johnny Kellar and Terry Davis
Honorary Pallbearers are Emily and Dee Brown, Frank and Sherri Bradley, Jean Baker, Arkansas Hospice at CHI St. Vincent, Bill and LaVerne Scholl and the Wendy’s lunch bunch.
Burial will follow at Rushfork Cemetery.
