Betty Lou Thomas

Betty Lou Thomas, mother to Elizabeth, Benita, Patrick, and Christopher, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 11th at 10:30 pm after a long battle with heart disease. Her final moments were spent peacefully with her daughter Elizabeth. She was surrounded by her children.

Betty was known for her high academic honors in education at Hot Springs High, where she attended Girls State in Washington D.C. and furthered her education in journalism at Southern State College.

Betty will be dearly missed by her surviving children Elizabeth Reed, Benita and Glenn Robinson, Patrick Reed, and Christopher Reed; grandchildren Jarrod Kilby, Tyler Robinson, Chance Creacy, Megan Creacy, Chase Neighbors, Raychel Bozeman, Brandon Robinson, Trevor Reed, and River Reed; great grandchildren Allie Ballew, Paul Kilby, Wesley Hoover, Avery Hoover, Waylon Neighbors, Henry Robinson, and Maevry Robinson; Nieces Kathy Duncan Spencer and Kim Duncan; and sister-in-law and best friend Beth Duncan.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at Camp Charleston at a later date.
