He was born December 19, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Theodore & Nellie Meenen. Arthur was a retired Civil Engineer, a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Lambda Chi Alpha, Blue Key, Theta Tau, an Alumni of the University of Missouri at Rolla, where he was inducted into the Academy, and the Pre Stressed Concrete Institute.
Arthur wrote and read poetry to his family, he loved reading history, doing word puzzles, and collecting 4 leaf clovers. He liked to fish with his son and grandsons.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Irene L. Meenen; children Robert Meenen and Laura Griepp & husband George; grandchildren Daniel R. Meenen & his wife Jocelyn, Jacob L. Meenen & his wife Shawna, Emily D. Robinson, Eric D. Brown; great-grandchildren, Danny Ryan Meenen, Luke Meenen, Aulelei D. Kennach, U. Leelana Kennach, Emma Jayde Robinson; and a niece Susanne L. Roa.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday at Oaklawn United Methodist Church with Rev. Russ Breshears officiating.
