Anna Beth Burroughs, 87, of Hot Springs died on December 22nd. She was born in Gurdon on October 1, 1930 to the late Charlie and Duena McMillan. She was predeceased by her brother, William McMillan and 2 sisters, Wilma Holdford and Charlene McMillan. Anna married Calvin Burroughs in May of 1950. After 65 years of marriage, they have now been reunited with each other in heaven. We are certain that Calvin was eagerly waiting for her to come home so that she could start cooking one of her famous home cooked meals! Anna worked with Calvin at Oaklawn Firestone Store, as manager of Kempner’s Ready to Wear, and at the Ru-el Shop. She enjoyed cooking, sewing for her grandchildren, gardening, and her family. Anna is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Judy and Ben O’Neal, and son and daughter-in-law Randy and Debbie Burroughs; grandchildren Jennifer and Jason Atkinson; Eric and Whitney O’Neal; Allison and Ben Carroll; Ryan and Kellye O’Neal; and Lance and Emily Burroughs. She is also survived by her sister Martha and Jim Lockwood, brother, Eddie and Mollie McMillan and her 8 great grandsons and two great granddaughters and another baby girl due in March. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. We want to thank Hope, Jessie, and Benita for the loving care they showed to Anna. Also thanks to Arkansas Hospice and Nurse Amy for their support. Anna was a longtime member of Oaklawn United Methodist Church, Builders Sunday School Class, Joy Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Women.
