Trudy Hodson

Gertrud "Trudy" Hodson, age 84, of Fayetteville, North Carolina passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, December 1, 2023. She was born April 5, 1939 in Doclafgrun, Sudentenland, of what was then Germany. She lived in Ulm, Wurzburg, Darmstadt and Babenhausen before moving to the United States in the early 1960s. After becoming a U.S. citizen, she worked in manufacturing and sales while raising four children. Dancing, listening to music, and spending time with friends were a few pastimes she enjoyed. She attended St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church.

Preceding her in death are her mother, Klara Fuchs; her father, Wilhelm (Willie) Fuchs; and her daughter, Terry Barnett (Carpenter). She is survived by her brother Heinrich Fuchs of Darmstadt, Germany, sons Frank Carpenter of Mississippi and Clifford Carpenter of Fayetteville, North Carolina; and her daughter, Beverly Anne Kearney (Carpenter) of Fayetteville, North Carolina; five grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

A visitation with family & friends for Trudy will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 3308 N Main St, Hope Mills, North Carolina 28348. A funeral service will occur Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 1:00 PM, 3308 N Main St, Hope Mills, North Carolina 28348. A burial will occur Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Lafayette Memorial Park West, 6701 Raeford Rd, Fayetteville, North Carolina.
