Thomas "Tommy" Allen Barts

Thomas Allen Barts, age 71, of Fayetteville, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023. He was born December 16, 1952 to Walter and Emma Barts. Tommy was a US veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy with the 'Sea Bees" mobile construction battalion.

He is survived by his 2 nephews Jeffery Allen Barts and Jason Barts. He was preceded in death by his father Walter William Barts, his mother Emma Lee Barts, his sister Bonnie Wedeking Barts and countless close, lifelong friends around the Montclair neighborhood. He was a wonderful and loving brother, son, uncle and friend.

After serving in the military, Tommy eventually came back home to Fayetteville to be close to family and friends. He worked as a local Plumber who was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. The Beetle's song "I get by with a little help from my friends" was a song he lived life by. It was in his nature to give a lot more than he received.

Tommy loved working on cars and enjoyed spending time with loved ones and friends. He never met a person or beer he didn't like. Tommy was a true Montclair legend who will never be forgotten. We will always carry your memory in our hearts.

Graveside Services with Military Honors will take place on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Cumberland Memorial Gardens. The family invites you to a time of fellowship and remembrance after the services. The location of the gathering will be announced later this week. Please know that anyone and everyone is welcome.
