She was born on July 21, 1940 in Cumberland County, NC to the late Hillard and Mammie Alice Parker.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Reeves Funeral Home in Hope Mills, NC.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville.
Mrs. Smith leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Frederick Smith, Jr., daughter, Ann Townsend-Batton; son, Graham McDonald; son Brian Townsend; daughter, Renee Carter; daughter, Robin Carter; sister, Jean Dalrymple; and eight grandchildren.
She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
