Robert Allen Jackson

“Bob” was born April 16, 1937, in East Orange, NJ, as the son of the late Betram C. and Anna E. (McGuinness) Jackson.

Bob played football in high school, and worked in construction in north Jersey for nearly 40 years before relocating to North Carolina. He enjoyed repairing cars, boats and motorcycles, attending boat and car shows, playing the lottery and gardening in his spare time.

He and his former spouse, Dianne E. Jackson, remained lifelong friends and raised four children together: Debra A. Jackson of Arizona, Susan J. Jackson of North Carolina, Robin E. Mills and Robert T. Jackson, both of New Jersey. The grandfather of Joseph, Shannon, Jamie, Kayla, Brianna and Jeremy, he also recently became a great grandfather of Mila. Bob was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Lois Jackson, and has a loving niece, Cheryl Miller.
