Michael Timothy “Timmy” West, 54, passed away on July 27, 2016 in Little River South Carolina with his parents, Ted and Sarah by his side. Born on September 13, 1961, Tim was raised in Hope Mills and lived there the majority of his life. He graduated from South View High School in 1979 and attended UNC- Pembroke.
Tim’s interests included spending time with his family, fishing and being a coach to both of his children in both softball and wrestling. He enjoyed time spent with friends, usually watching sports, most notably the Tar Heels.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jessica West and Jason West; his parents, Ted and Sarah West; a brother, Doug West and wife Beverly and sisters, Donnett Newman and husband Aaron and Gayl West.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Live Oak Methodist Church, 690 Live Oak Methodist Church Road, White Oak, NC 28399.
