Fayetteville - Ret. SFC John Edward Turner, 84, formerly of Roanoke Rapids, NC, passed away Friday, April 15, 2016.
Left to cherish his memory are his five children, Virginia Simpson and husband Willie, Debbie Decker and husband Tom, John Turner III and wife Susan, Sabrina Villagomez and husband Derek and Detlef Steinhuer and wife Gundula; eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Mr. Turner was predeceased by his loving wife Erika; a brother, James Turner; his mother, Virginia Cannon; a grandson, Richard Steven Simpson and a great grandchild, Camryn Simpson.
Funeral Services will be held at two p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at the Reeves Funeral Home Chapel. They will be conducted by the Rev. Tim Gore.
Burial at Cumberland Memorial Gardens on Raeford Road in Fayetteville.
A visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2016, at Reeves Funeral Home in Hope Mills.
