James Robert Dees Sr.

James was born August 27, 1933 in Fayetteville, NC to the late Robert Yates and Mary Davis Dees.

He was a veteran of the US Marines. He retired as a machinist with an electronics company and in his later years was a Orange County school bus driver for special needs students.

Funeral services will be Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 2 pm at Rockfish Baptist Church 3219 Lindsay Road, Raeford, with Rev. Bobby Bunce officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Reeves Funeral Home in Hope Mills.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth and Frank Dees.

Surviving are his wife, Joan Dees; children, James R. Dees, Jr. and wife Nancy, Ronald Dees, Timothy Dees and wife Diane and David Mark Dees; siblings, Sara Conoly, Dan Dees, Joyce Connally, Allen Dees, Allene Dees Stiffel, Malcolm Dees, Linda Lovette and Donnie Dees; eight grandchildren, Stephany Marchel, Jamie Mitacek, David L. Dees, Matthew Dees, Michelle Dees, Zack Dees, Josh Dees and Jennifer Dees; six great grandchildren, Micah Patterson, J J Patterson, Crystal Newson, Ryan Evans, Jordan Evans, Sydney Marshel.
