Evelyn Betty Durham, 49, passed away on November 7, 2020. She was born in Chicago, Illinois to James and Rosetta Campbell. She was the proud military wife of David Durham, and they resided in Fayetteville, North Carolina for 15 years. At the time of her passing, she was a resident of Chester Virginia.
She was a lady who loved her family and cherished every moment spent with them. She enjoyed gardening, decorating, and loved “making a house a home.” In 2014, she fought and won the battle with breast cancer. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Rosetta Campbell and her brother Cedric Harris. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 31 years, David Durham, her sons Jarmany Durham, Jordon Durham (Brittany), Joshua Durham (Tyla), and her daughter Journey Durham; her grandchildren Kylie, Jeyoni, Legend, Legacy, and Ryan; brothers Herbert Harris, Kenya Campbell (Cassandra), and Darrin Harris (Claudia); sisters Truscellia Norwood (Michael), Malinda Campbell, and Arelia (Tiny) Boston; best friends Angela Leggett and Tammy Robinson; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Monday November 16, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Reeves Funeral Home in Hope Mills, North Carolina. Funeral services for Mrs. Durham will be held Tuesday November 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m in the chapel at Reeves Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
