David Robert Ivey Jr.

Mr. Ivey was the son of the late David Robert Ivey, Sr. and Annie Scott Ivey. He graduated from Massey Hill High School and attended Fayetteville Technical Community College in Mechanical Drafting and Surveying. Mr. Ivey worked for Commercial Warehouse Services LLC; County of Cumberland Tax Mapping as a Mapper and later as Supervisor from which he retired in 2006. He also worked with John Ivey and Associates Land Surveyors and the City of Fayetteville Parks and Recreation Department.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Ivey was preceded in death by a son , Charles Jonathan Joel Ivey; A brother, John M. Ivey; and a sister, Elizabeth I. Cook.

Mr. Ivey is survived by his spouse, Barbara J. Brady; of the home. Three daughters; Adrienne B. Ivey of Chesterfield, SC; Genevieve C. Smith and spouse, Christopher D. Smith of House Springs; MO and Colleen M B. Hogue and spouse, Forrest A P Hogue; of Washington, DC ;Two sons William B. Cornett IV of Parkton; NC and Thomas M. Cornett and spouse Rebecca G. Cornett of Wake Forest, NC. Five grandsons; Bailey M G Cornett, Elijah D G Cornett, Titus J G Cornett , Tucker J G Cornett; and Benedict J B Hogue. One granddaughter, Charlotte K. Smith.

A gathering to celebrate Mr. Ivey's life will be held on July 3 ,2018 from 2:00 P.M. till 4:00 P.M. at Reeves Funeral Home in Hope Mills .
