Chris was born on June 16, 1952, the daughter of Richard and Shirley Peters in Davenport, Iowa. She graduated from Davenport Central High School with the class of 1970 and later graduated from the nursing program at Fayetteville Technical Community College. She absolutely loved Elvis, country music and the St. Louis Cardinals. She was also an avidfan of a good ole fashion western movie and a cherry soda. She loved to play a game of cribbage,skip bo and bunco. Chris truly enjoyed nature and feeding the birds with her great grandson Knolan.She enjoyed most of all, her family and was an exceptional mother to her three children that survive her. Daughters: Angela Marquart and husbandMatt of Fayetteville, NC; Elizabeth Kilpatrick and husband Mike Ivan of Green Valley, AZ and son Robert Kilpatrick and wife Amy of Collierville,TN. She was so loved by her children as her parents were so loved by her. Her caring heart, patience,humor and hugs will be greatly missed.
Those who are also left to cherish her memory include her parents: Richard (Pete) and Shirley Peters of Marshfield, Missouri; sister: Rita (John)Gibson of Marshfield, MO; brother: Ron (Denise) of Lafayette, IN. Also surviving are five grandchildren:Ashley Thompson and Robert Allen of Fayetteville,NC; James, Hallie and Brayden Kilpatrick of Collierville, TN. She also was blessed with two great grandchildren: Knolan and Miles Thompson of Fayetteville, NC. Also surviving is former husband,Robert Kilpatrick of Fenton, MI, along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Chris was a wonderful Daughter, Sister, Mother, Nanny and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her; however, the good Lord she loved so much has called her home.
A memorial service for Chris will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 3308 N Main St, Hope Mills, North Carolina 28348.
