William Lawrence Sarcedo Jr. “Sun”, 53, of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away on July 8, 2021. William was born on March 4, 1968, in Honolulu to William Sr. “Gijo” and Aileen Sarcedo. He was an avid football player and Golden Gloves boxer that competed in the Junior Olympic trials in Colorado.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Chantel Sarcedo (Zembik), father: William L. Sarcedo Sr. “Coach Gijo”, brother: Waikane Sarcedo, sisters: Quelby Holbron, Wei “Sunshyne” Sarcedo-Drennon (Quentin), Waila “Shugs” Kamealoha, Waileen “Love” Andaya, Wonderlin “Sass” Hernandez, Wilhelmina “Star” Torres (William). Children: Shelbe Sarcedo (Lawrence), Shelden Sarcedo (Desireen), Sherwen “Gersh” Sarcedo (Jhonielle), Shevelle “Velle” Sarcedo (Chezz), Sheandee Sarcedo (Martin), Sunny Sarcedo (Kelvin), and Shelley Sarcedo (Zach). Mother of his children: Lisa Sarcedo (Presto), 13 grandchildren (one on the way), and countless nieces and nephews.
Services for William will be on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at the Makai Chapel. Public viewing will be at 10:00 a.m., services 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., burial to follow at Valley of the Temples at 2:00 p.m. Aloha/casual attire, please wear your face mask, flowers/lei welcome.
