RADM William Walter Robinson U.S. Navy Retired, aka “King” “The Commander”, 95, passed away June 8, 2012 at Straub Hospital in Honolulu. Born in Lynn Massachusetts, he was a retired Rear Admiral for the U.S. Navy and an entrepreneur who owned W.W. Distributors and the Windows of Hawaii Restaurant.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Anne Robinson; sons, Matthew Kuukahiku Robinson, Barnaby Kalikiano Robinson, Auguste Kawelolani Robinson, Peter Kilohana Robinson, Cyrus Keono Robinson and Christopher Chase Robinson; daughters, Merriam L Rapisura and Malia I Christiansen; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Memorial service scheduled for July 30, 2012 at Ft. DeRussy Army Chapel from 10am - 1:00pm followed by full military honor interment at Punchbowl National Cemetary at 2:00pm. Casual attire is suggested.
