Richard James Francis Kaluna, 79, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on April 29, 2015 at Straub Hospital. He was born on the island of Hawaii, in the city of Kohala, Kona. Mr. Kaluna served as a Marine and was a Head Custodian. He is survived by his spouse, Lydia Kaluna; son; Dwight Kato-Kaluna; step-daughter, Donna Estrada; step-son, Alfred Aquino; brothers, Stanley and Joe Kumukoa, Lee and Eric Dela Cruz; sister, Gail Pelekai; 3 Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on May 28, 2015 at Borthwick Mortuary - Mauka Chapel. Visitation will be at 9:30am and service will begin at 10:30am. Burial to follow at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery at 1pm.
