She was born August 18, 1919, in Honolulu, HI.
She was the daughter of Robert and Mary Kapika and a retired elementary school teacher.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley A. Clark of Bonne Terre, MO and Brenda J. Garlock (Ronald) of Kailua, HI; sons, Terry Akamu, Russel Akamu, Leland Akamu of Honolulu, HI and Payton (Pua) Akamu of Kapaau, HI; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; sister, Mabel Kaipo of Hawaii, HI; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Service: February 4, 2012
Visitation: Saturday February 4, 2012 at 9:30 a.m., and a celebration of life at 10:00 a.m. at Kauaha’ao Congregational church-
Waiohinu, Kau, Big island.
