LOUIS “LOUIE” KEKAHUNA KAONOHI, JR., age 82, passed away April 22, 2011 at Straub Hospital. Born December 18, 1928 in Honolulu, he was a retired U.S. Army Sergeant with 20 years of service, a retired Hickam Air Force Base civil service employee, a former employee at the Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAEFS), a musician at the Elks Club and Waikiki Resort and a Honolulu Reserve Police Officer.
He is survived by his daughter, Lorree “Fluffy” Ituarte; sons, Brandon and Justin Kaonohi; a granddaughter; brothers, Samson (Corinne) and Mel Kaonohi; sisters, Maggie (Don) Sodergran, Florence (Ken) Thompson, Evelyn Kamekona, Laverne (Reynold) Alexander; fiancée, Gladys Oshiro.
