Jerry Ralph Santos Jr. 57, of Pearl City, passed away at his home on September 12, 2023. He was born on December 1, 1965 in Honolulu and raised in Pearl City. A 1983 graduate of Pearl City High School, Jerry went on to serve in the Army National Guard. He worked at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard as a Pipefitter Supervisor and had 34 years of Federal service.
His hobbies included building classic Chevy Hotrods, racing cars at Hawaii Raceway Park, Riding his dirt bike in Kahuku, watching Football, Nascar and car shows of all kinds. Jerry was very handy, and could fix just about anything; from drywall, plumbing, electrical and flooring, you name it, he could fix it.
A lifelong Pearl City resident, Jerry bled purple and white, and was an avid supporter of his niece’s soccer clubs. He attended all their games and loved traveling with the team to their mainland tournaments. His home was Holiday headquarters, where he enjoyed cooking the Thanksgiving Turkey and Christmas roast.
Jerry was a man of few words, but showed his love for all in his constant giving way. Jerry was known and loved by all he came in contact with, and he will never be forgotten. He is survived by sister Lisa, brothers Steven (Cheryl) and John (Melissa), nieces Alyssa, Cheyne, Chanyn and Stecya; nephews Robert and Adren; numerous aunties, uncles and cousins.
Services will be held on Friday October 6, 2023 at Borthwick Mortuary, Mauka Chapel. Visitation at 10:30 am to 11:30 am service 11:30 am to 12:30 pm lunch to follow, casual attire.
