Ezra Hanawahine, 44 years old, better known to his ‘ohana as Ez, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Thursday, July 15.
He was truly a Mighty Man of Valor and served as a Deacon and as part of the leadership team at The Lamb of God Church & Bible School. A dedicated and loving husband, an excellent, proud and devoted father, loving son, a brother that always had a way of making everyone laugh. A loyal friend, with an amazing heart to serve others.
Ez was fiercely loved by his high school sweetheart and wife of 24 years, Napua, he was an amazing Dad to his children Kūpono, Alaka’i & his only Princess Kili’ohu. He was deeply admired and loved by his Mom, Lei, Brothers Roy & Newton & his sister Julina. Reunited with his Dad, Brownie, at the gates of heaven. An extremely loyal, kind & giving friend to many.
Ez wore an amazingly warm smile that lit up any room that he entered. A man of few words, his giving heart spoke volumes. Always behind the scenes, making sure his family was well taken care of and always gave without expecting anything in return. A true and genuine Hawaiian. An awesome cook, known for his buttery corn bread, ono lau lau, melt in your mouth brisket and secret sauce kau yuk. He was our Vegas lucky charm, loved to travel, an excellent mathematician and organizer of many family trips. We miss him dearly.
