Carol lived in Honolulu until 2011. She and her husband moved to be near their daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Henderson, Nevada. She had retired from the State of Hawaii Marriage Licence office as a Supervisor. After retirement she quickly started joining classes and teaching at the Lanikila Senior Center. She enjoyed dance classes and helped out in the office. Carol recieved numerous awards as a volunteer. Her proudest award was from President Bush in 2007. Carol enjoyed life! She was always helping family and friends.
Carol passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her husband, daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survied by her husband of 64 years, Lawrence "Jack" Tom; daughter Jacqueline Kay Tom; grandchildren Jessica Cheney and Daniel Tom; great-grand children Matthew, Logan and Isabella Cheney. Her sisters Janey Loo, Betty Liu and Nancy Yuen. She has so many neices and nephews that have lost a favorite "Auntie"...
