Our beloved Candido "Boy" Manatad Jr., 66, of Kahalu'u, went home to be with our Lord on November 1, 2012. He was a retired City and County Refuse Worker and Commercial Fisherman who was a faithful servant of New Hope Windward Christian Fellowship. Beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and son whose abundant aloha touched many lives will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Manatad; sons, Jon Vertido (Darilyn), Candido Manatad III (Yuko), David Manatad and Orion "Kaimi" Manatad (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Taisha, Saige, Makoa, Mirai "Mimi," Chase, Candido "Kaiya," Reese and Mahina; sisters, Mary Medina, Florita "Letta" Kam, Florepis "Tete" Cabanilla, DaiLinda "Linda" Cabral, Bancaflor "Laura" Kapule, Lucia "Lucy" Bernard, Isadora "Isa" Ching, Simonette "Sim" Soares and Dina Manatad; stepsisters, Anita Claycomb and Maggie Fleming; brother Carlos "Carlo" Manatad. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 9, 2012 at Borthwick Mortuary, Mauka Chapel. Viewing is from 5:30-8 pm, Christian service to begin at 8 pm by Pastor Dave Barr.
