Wilma King Elmore died Tuesday December 26, 2023. Born January 17, 1934 in Lecanto, Florida to the late William and Betsy King. The family moved to Jacksonville, FL when she was nine years old. Her mother died in Jacksonville. After graduating from school in Jacksonville, she worked for Southern States Oil Company as a bookkeeper. While she was married to a Navy man they lived in Hawaii and Wilma worked for the Officer’s Club. After her divorce and moving back to the United States she worked for Lucas, Hyers and Pennywitt, CPAs. Her next employer was R.J. Mack. Wilma retired in 2001 and moved to Ocala, FL in 2002.
Wilma is preceded in death by both of her parents, one brother and one sister. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Macrini-Wilder Funeral Home.
