William Howard Pringle II passed away in his home in Chassahowitzka, Florida on July 20, 2022. Mr. Pringle was born in St. Petersburg, Florida on November 14, 1960 to William and Peggy Pringle. With his brothers, David and Barry, he attended school there. After graduating high school, he started work with Honeywell doing electronics assembly, and later inspection and quality control. One significant project was working on components for the Space Shuttle main engine controllers. But his true love was the outdoors. He found city life too crowded. To avoid the hubbub, he bought a boat, and lived on-board for nearly a year, while still working at Honeywell. His favorite escape was at his family's undeveloped property in the Chassahowitzka area. There, he found the elbow room to hike and to shoot. He was an excellent marksman, with both pistols and rifles, and he enjoyed hunting. Eventually, he built a home there. The 60 mile commute daily to Honeywell in Clearwater took its toll, however. He arranged to take an early retirement, and put his engineering skills to work, building air boats appropriate for the waterways in the area. He despaired the development that slowly crept north, encroaching on his hideaway. Ultimately, he sold that property and moved into Chassahowitzka proper, where he lived on his own terms with friends. Mr. Pringle never married. He is survived by his brothers, David and Barry Pringle. He was fiercely loyal to his friends, and will be remembered fondly. Per his request, no service will be held.
