Ursula Schramek, 83, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Friday, Jan. 13, 2023 at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL. A native of New York, NY, she was born May 24, 1939 to Kurt and Henrietta (Harms) Milewski, one of three children. Ursula was a lifelong loving homemaker and moved to Homosassa in 1996 with her late husband, Joseph E. Schramek, who passed away on April 7, 2016. Mrs. Schramek was of the Lutheran faith and was a faithful and devoted member of Nativity Lutheran Church of Weeki Wachee, FL and a former member of St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church in Crystal River, FL. Among her many passions if life, Ursula enjoyed her devotion to the Lady Journey Seekers and the Welcome Wagon and was a member of the Sugarmill Woods Tennis Club. Her perfect days would include traveling to some place new, spending time with her friends, Christian fellowship, gardening and watching tennis. In addition to her parents and her husband Joseph, she was preceded in death by her sister Anita Korpela and her husband Mauri, formerly of Long Island, NY. Ursula is survived by her only child Kurt Schramek and his wife Lisa of Dunnellon, FL and a sister, Henrietta Crimi and her husband Peter of Long Island, NY. Friends will be received on Mon., Jan. 23, 2023 from 12:15 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Nativity Lutheran Church, 6363 Commercial Way (U.S. 19), Weeki Wachee, FL 34613, where a Celebration Of Life will commence at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Giuseppe Mattei officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
