Sherry A. Walker

Sherry Anne Walker, 60, unexpectedly passed away March 1, 2022. She was born August 26, 1961 in Tampa, FL to Alan & Mary Durden, and spent most of her adult life here in Florida. She worked as a florist for many years before becoming the loving face behind the desk at Homosassa Eye Clinic, where she was employed for over 20 years.

Sherry was the best mother, sister, and partner, and was treasured by her entire family. She was wildly creative, had an affinity for dragonflies and her fish, and also had the best sense of humor. Above all, she was rich with a love that manifested in fierce loyalty, selflessness, patience, and generosity that she shared with those that came into her life. Her willingness to share this sacrificial love for those she cared for and those in need has touched the lives of many over the years, making her beloved by them all.

She leaves behind her dear partner, Doug, two daughters, Kelly (Jeff); and Alison, siblings, Debbie (Rick); and Chuck (Telana), former husband, Gary, great aunt, Elaine, and many more nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alan and Mary Durden.
