Sorrowfully, Shannon Lynn Robinson of Citrus Springs, Florida peacefully transitioned from her earthly life to her heavenly life October 24, 2023. Shannon was born May 28, 1983 in St. Petersburg, Florida. She attended First Baptist Christian School, and graduated from Dixie Hollins High School, St. Petersburg. Shannon started her healthcare profession working in the Emergency Room at Bayfront Medical Center. She worked briefly at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, and when her parents moved to Dunnellon, she followed and settled in at Seven Rivers Hospital. Shannon received her EMT certification and served the citizens of Citrus County for over 12 years in the Emergency Department of Seven Rivers Hospital. Shannon loved working in the ER, and developed many long-lasting friendships with ancillary staff, nurses, doctors, law enforcement and fire/rescue crews she saw daily. Shannon’s sweet smile and her friendly, easy personality were her calling card. She was a walking encyclopedia of the ER. If you needed to know a number, where something was, or how to do something, Shannon was your go to person. Although Shannon loved working in emergency medicine, Shannon’s greatest accomplishment was her daughter Shaylei. Being a single mom is no easy feat, but Shannon had a great example of being raised by a single parent. Shannon’s dad (Dan) did everything he could to raise a little girl into a beautiful, smart, and independent woman. In turn, Shannon raised Shaylei to become a beautiful, smart, and kind human, who would eventually follow in Shannon’s footsteps. Shannon and Shaylei worked side by side in the ER at Seven Rivers and Shannon taught Shaylei the ropes. Shannon was a passionate FSU Seminoles fan, and always had a ‘Noles shirt on if she wasn’t in scrubs. Words cannot describe how much Shannon will be missed every day by her daughter, Shaylei Robinson, and Shannon’s parents, Dan & Jenifer Robinson. Shannon is also survived by her mother, Cindy Orange (Lin), her brothers, Billy and Ty, Uncle John Robinson(Katherine), Uncle Larry (Sharon) Robinson, Great Aunt Betty Robinson, four nieces and nephews, eleven cousins, and many second cousins. Also, Shannon is survived by her second family at Seven Rivers Hospital. “ShanWow” as she was affectionately called, will be missed every day by her colleagues. We know Shannon was met in Heaven by her beloved grandparents, Nana & Pop Robinson, Great-grandmother, Grandma Sanders, and her bestest friends, Heather & Sean. When you think of Shannon, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember, life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest every day. A Celebration of Life will be held November 17th, 2023, from 5-8pm at the Citrus Springs Community Center – Building B, 1570 West Citrus Springs Boulevard ,Citrus Springs, FL 34434. We ask for all ‘Noles fans to show their pride and remembrance for Shannon, by wearing their gear. Macrini-Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, FL. www.macrini-wilderfuneral.com
