Ruth Jane Hanson

Ruth J. Hanson, 73, of Crystal River FL, went home to be with the Lord on April 20, 2023 with her devoted and loving husband by her side. Ruth was born on July 7, 1949 in Stollings, West Virginia. She was the daughter of late Nellie and Noah Frye. She was the 3rd youngest of four siblings. Ruth married her soulmate of 48 years, Jimmy Hanson on August 12, 1975. She graduated from Calvery High School and held a degree in cosmetology. However, her true passion was to be a homemaker and to care for her family and community. In her early years she enjoyed singing songs that she wrote and recorded at the Cowboy Junction in Lecanto. Ruth was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Inglis where she devoted her life to being a beloved Sunday school teacher. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved helping to raise them all. She is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy Hanson of Crystal River, FL; her children: daughter Regina Conley of Crystal River, FL; son Timothy Conley of Daytona, FL; daughter Melissa Watson and son-in-law Buddy Watson of Crystal River, FL; grandchildren Crystal & Robert Grooms, Sabrina Odom, Kori & Tristan Morrison, Hannah & Kyle Riggs, Raymond Watson, Haylee Watson, and Carlos Pimentel all of Crystal River, Fl; great grandchildren Christopher Grooms, Kurtis Grooms, Caleb Champion, Tehya Grooms, Skyler Morrison, Riley Pimentel, Braelyn Morrison, Avery Riggs all of Crystal River, Fl. She is also survived by her long-time best friend and cousin; Rosie Alcala of Clearwater, FL, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is proceeded in death by her daughter Teresa Conley, her parents Noah and Nellie Frye; sisters Patricia Lackey, Janet Frye, brother Noah Frye, aunt Ruby Workman, granddaughters Miranda and Marissa Conley, and great grandson Austin Charles.
