Robert Girard Martin, Sr., of Homosassa, FL died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010 in Homosassa. Born July 6, 1919 in Ridgewood, NJ and moved to Homosassa 11 years ago from Winter Haven, FL. He was a retired US Air Force Major and a veteran of WWII and Korea. He was a former member of the Mason, Rotary and VFW.
Preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth K. Martin.
He is survived by his son Robert G. Martin, Jr. and his wife Carol of Homosassa; special friend Margaret Whitmer of Homosassa; 4 grandchildren Matthew, Michael, Natalie and Allison; 5 great-grandchildren Blake, Samantha, Katelyn, Myranda and Tristen.
Funeral services will be held 6 p. m., Fri., Sept. 3, at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa Springs. Friends will be received from 5 p. m., Fri. until the hour of service.
