Robert B. “Bob” Hosford, 86, of Homosassa, passed away on Fri., Jan. 31, 2014 at HPH Hospice Care Center, Brooksville. A native of Hartford, CT, he was born June 11, 1927 to Louis and Emma (Linderman) Hosford, one of two children. Mr. Hosford was a retired nuclear fuel specialist, having been retired from Combustion Engineering, Windsor Locks, CT. He moved to this area of Florida in 1990 from Westfield, MA and had also held residences in Ocala and Citrus Springs. Bob was a parishioner of St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church, Homosassa; a U.S. Air Force veteran of the post WW II era and a member of the Citrus County Sheriff’s Dept. Volunteer Crimewatch Division. He is survived by his wife of over 61 years, Mary S. Hosford, Homosassa; daughters Deirdre Hall (husband Ronald), Oklahoma City, OK and Kristine Donovan (husband John), Pittsfield, MA; four grandchildren: Sean Thomas and Courtney Roseanne Donovan and Jessica Ellen Hall and Ronald David Hall, III as well as four cousins; Ralph Hosford, Bushnell, FL; Norman Hosford and Gladys Goodwin, both of Vermont, Orrin Hosford, Torrington, CT. and Nancy Lickwar, East Granby, CT.
